Geotextile Membranes & Non-Woven Geotextiles

Our range of geotextile membranes provides reliable separation, filtration, protection and ground stabilisation solutions for civil engineering, drainage, landscaping and equestrian projects. Designed to allow water to pass through while preventing the migration of soil particles, geotextiles help maintain the long-term performance of drainage systems, sub-base layers and aggregate installations.

Non-woven geotextile membranes are widely used beneath aggregates, access roads, horse arenas and drainage systems, helping to prevent contamination between construction layers and improve overall ground stability. They are also commonly specified as protection fleece within impermeable attenuation tanks, where they help protect HDPE geomembranes from puncture damage during installation and throughout the life of the system.

Common Applications

Separation

Used beneath aggregates and sub-base materials to prevent intermixing between soil and structural layers.

Filtration

Allows water to pass through while retaining soil particles within drainage systems and soakaway installations.

Protection

Commonly used as protection fleece above and below geomembranes within attenuation tanks, lagoons and containment systems.

Ground Stabilisation

Helps distribute loads and improve the long-term performance of roads, access tracks and construction platforms.

Equestrian Projects

Widely used beneath horse arenas, gallops and turnout areas to help maintain drainage performance and preserve the integrity of the riding surface.

Choosing the Right Geotextile

The most suitable geotextile membrane will depend on the application, ground conditions and required performance characteristics. Lightweight membranes are commonly used for general separation and landscaping applications, while heavier-duty products such as 300gsm non-woven geotextiles are often specified for equestrian projects, attenuation tank protection and demanding civil engineering works.

Geotextiles for Attenuation Tanks

Protection fleece plays an important role within impermeable attenuation tank construction. Installed above and below the geomembrane liner, it helps protect the membrane from puncture damage and contributes to the long-term performance of the attenuation system.
