The 450 x 450 x 42mm B125 EasySeal Ductile Iron Manhole Cover (DU027) is designed to provide reliable and secure access for domestic and light commercial drainage systems. Manufactured from high-strength spheroidal graphite cast iron, it combines excellent durability with a favourable weight-to-strength ratio, making installation and long-term maintenance straightforward.
Certified to BS EN 124-2 Class B125 and independently BSI Kitemarked, the DU027 is suitable for Group 2 applications including domestic driveways, pedestrian areas and locations where occasional light vehicle access is expected. It is capable of withstanding a 125kN (12.5 tonne) test load, providing confidence for residential and light commercial installations.
The cover incorporates EasySeal technology, which is designed to create an effective airtight seal when packed with grease, helping reduce odour escape from below-ground drainage systems. The SmartGrip surface pattern delivers a PSRV value greater than 70, independently tested by a UKAS-accredited third party, providing excellent slip resistance in wet conditions.
Finished with a durable black protective coating, the DU027 also benefits from a long service life and is fully recyclable at the end of its working life. Optional factory extras including rubber seals, locking mechanisms, venting and badging are available for projects requiring additional functionality.
