Description
This E600 ductile iron manhole cover and frame is designed for use in environments exposed to exceptionally high traffic loading, where standard highway-rated covers are not suitable. Typical applications include industrial estates, agricultural yards, transport yards, loading bays and dockside areas, where frequent HGV or plant movement is expected.
The cover features a double triangular lid configuration with a non-rocking 3-point suspension system, providing excellent stability and load distribution under traffic. Manufactured from high-strength ductile iron, it delivers long-term durability while remaining practical to handle on site.
The unit is fully compliant with BS EN 124:2015 (Group 5 – E600) and is BSI Kitemarked, offering assurance of performance, quality, and regulatory compliance. It is also compliant with Highways England DMRB CD534, making it suitable for demanding infrastructure and specialist applications.
