Description

Ground Stabilisation For Heavier Duty Applications

Geoworks TerraGrid Core 30 is a high-performance biaxial geogrid engineered to reinforce aggregate layers, improve load distribution and stabilise weak ground conditions.

Designed for demanding construction and civil engineering projects, TerraGrid Core 30 creates a mechanically stabilised layer by interlocking with aggregate particles. This helps improve bearing capacity, reduce rutting and enhance the long-term performance of trafficked surfaces.

TerraGrid Core 30 is commonly specified where higher reinforcement levels are required beneath roads, haul roads, working platforms, industrial yards, renewable energy developments and infrastructure schemes.

Previously supplied as SX Grid 30/30, TerraGrid Core 30 continues to provide a proven solution for ground stabilisation and sub-base reinforcement where increased tensile performance is required.

The biaxial structure delivers 30kN/m tensile strength in both directions, helping distribute loads more effectively across the construction platform and reducing stress on weaker subgrades.

For projects requiring a lower-strength reinforcement option, view our TerraGrid Core 20 Biaxial Geogrid.

Can Geogrid Be Used To Stabilise Soft Ground?

Yes. TerraGrid Core 30 is commonly specified where weak ground conditions require additional reinforcement beneath roads, haul roads, working platforms and industrial developments. Its higher tensile strength makes it suitable for more demanding stabilisation applications.

Can Geogrid Reduce Aggregate Depth?

In suitable applications, geogrids can improve load distribution within the aggregate layer and may help reduce the required stone thickness compared to an unreinforced construction. Project-specific design should always be verified by a qualified engineer.

What Is A Geogrid Used For In Road Construction?

Geogrids are widely used beneath roads, access tracks, haul roads and car parks to reinforce aggregate layers, improve ground stability and extend pavement life.

Is TerraGrid Core 30 The Same As SX Grid 30/30?

Yes. TerraGrid Core 30 is the direct replacement for the previous SX Grid 30/30 range supplied by Geoworks.

What Is The Difference Between TerraGrid Core 20 And TerraGrid Core 30?

TerraGrid Core 30 provides higher tensile strength than TerraGrid Core 20, making it better suited to heavier duty applications, weaker ground conditions and projects requiring increased reinforcement.

When Should I Use Geogrid Instead Of Geotextile?

Geogrids are primarily used for reinforcement and load distribution. Geotextiles are generally used for separation, filtration and protection. In some applications both products are used together.

Can TerraGrid Core 30 Be Used Beneath Access Roads?

Yes. TerraGrid Core 30 is frequently specified beneath temporary access roads, haul roads and construction compounds to improve ground stability and long-term performance.

What Area Does One Roll Cover?

Each roll measures 4m x 50m and provides approximately 200m² of coverage.
