This E600 ductile iron manhole cover and frame is designed for use in environments subject to exceptionally high traffic loads, where standard highway-rated covers are not suitable. Common applications include industrial estates, agricultural yards, loading bays, transport yards and dockside areas, where frequent HGV or plant movement is expected.
Manufactured from high-strength ductile iron, this cover features a double triangular lid design with a non-rocking 3-point suspension, providing excellent stability under load. The unit is fully compliant with BS EN 124:2015 (Group 5 – E600) and is BSI Kitemarked, offering assurance of performance, durability and regulatory compliance.
This cover is also Highways England DMRB CD534 compliant, making it suitable for use in demanding infrastructure environments where certification and traceability are required.
