Description
The DU023 600 x 450 x 70mm C250 Single Seal Ductile Iron Manhole Cover is designed for commercial and light traffic environments requiring a durable, reliable and cost-effective access cover. Manufactured from high-strength spheroidal graphite ductile iron, it provides excellent strength-to-weight performance whilst complying with BS EN124-2:2015.
Designed as part of the Eccles EasySeal range, the DU023 incorporates an engineered single sealing system which, when packed with grease, provides an airtight seal. This makes it suitable for many drainage, utility and infrastructure applications where improved sealing is beneficial without the need for a premium double-seal design.
The cover features a 600 x 450mm clear opening, 710 x 560mm overall frame and 70mm frame depth, making it suitable for new installations and replacement projects. Its SmartGrip® anti-slip surface delivers excellent slip resistance in both wet and dry conditions, whilst the BSI Kitemark certification provides reassurance of long-term quality and compliance.

The DU023 is suitable for Group 3 applications, including kerbside areas extending up to 500mm into the carriageway. For heavily trafficked carriageways, a D400 cover should normally be specified.
