Choosing 1.0mm HDPE may be appropriate where the project specification calls for additional robustness or where site conditions justify a thicker impermeable barrier.

Whichever thickness you choose, protecting the geomembrane during installation is essential.
Installing a 300gsm non-woven protection fleece above and below the membrane helps reduce the risk of puncture from sub-base materials, attenuation crates and backfill, contributing to a longer-lasting lining system.
Jointing and Pipe Penetrations
Creating an effective impermeable system requires more than just the membrane itself.
Depending on the installation, you may also require:
- Double-sided butyl jointing tape
- Single-sided jointing tape
- Top hat units for sealing around pipe penetrations
- 300gsm protection fleece
