Description
Orange Woven Geotextile Membrane for Separation & Stabilisation
Geoworks FasTrack 609 Orange is a woven polypropylene geotextile membrane engineered to provide effective separation and stabilisation between subgrade soils and aggregate layers.
Designed for civil engineering and construction projects, it helps maintain the integrity of structural layers while reducing contamination between materials. Unlike non-woven geotextiles which are typically used for filtration and protection, woven geotextiles are primarily specified where tensile strength, reinforcement and load distribution are required.
Its distinctive orange colour provides a highly visible warning layer, making it particularly suitable for utility corridors, buried services, contaminated land projects and locations where future excavation works may be required.

What Is Orange Terram?
“Orange Terram” is a term commonly used within the construction industry to describe high-visibility orange geotextile membranes used for separation, stabilisation and warning applications. Whilst TERRAM is a manufacturer, the name is often used generically in the same way people refer to vacuum cleaners as Hoovers. Geoworks FasTrack 609 Orange provides a similar high-visibility solution for civil engineering and utility projects.
What Is An Orange Geotextile Membrane Used For?
Orange geotextile membranes are commonly used beneath access roads, working platforms, utility installations and infrastructure projects. Their bright colour helps identify protected areas and buried services during future excavation works.
Is FasTrack 609 An Alternative To Orange Terram?
Yes. FasTrack 609 Orange is frequently specified where contractors are looking for an orange warning geotextile membrane for separation and stabilisation applications. It provides excellent visibility alongside strong tensile performance.
What Is The Difference Between Woven And Non-Woven Geotextiles?
Woven geotextiles are primarily used for separation, stabilisation and reinforcement applications where tensile strength is important. Non-woven geotextiles are generally used for filtration, drainage and protection applications such as attenuation tank protection fleece and equestrian arena construction.
Can This Membrane Be Used Beneath Access Roads?
Yes. FasTrack 609 Orange is commonly used beneath temporary access roads, haul roads and working platforms to help prevent the intermixing of subgrade soils and aggregate layers.
Why Is The Membrane Orange?
The bright orange colour creates a highly visible warning layer that can help identify protected zones, buried services or contaminated ground areas during future excavation works.
How Much Area Does One Roll Cover?
Each roll measures 4.5m x 100m, providing approximately 450m² of coverage.
Can I Use This Instead Of A Standard Geotextile Membrane?
That depends on the application. If the project requires separation, stabilisation and high visibility, FasTrack 609 Orange may be suitable. For filtration, drainage or geomembrane protection applications, a non-woven geotextile may be more appropriate.
